A: Sorry, no pets are allowed are Modra's Apartments
Q: Is Modra's Apartments Wheelchair friendly?
A: All apartments are ground floor and a small ramp is available for several small steps. All our bathrooms are fitted with assistance rails in the bathroom, shower and toilet areas.
Q: Is there a carpark available?
A: All apartments have a undercover adjoining carport. There is ample room for boat and trailer parking
Q: Are the apartments non smoking?
A: Smoking is permitted in your garden, ashtrays are provided. Please do not smoke inside your apartment.
Q: Are there barbecue facilities?
A: We have a free gas BBQ area with comfortable outdoor furniture for alfresco dining under magnificent palm trees.
Q: Do you have views of the beach?
A: The beach is just 50 metres away from Modra's apartments, however there are only limited views from some apartments.
Q: Do you accept credit cards?
A: Payments can be made securely online at the time of booking or at reception by cash, direct deposit, eftpos or credit (we accept VISA, Mastercard and Bank Card)
Q: How close are you to the jetty ?
We are approximately 1 kilometre to the jetty and is an easy flat walk on footpath, beach, or walking trail.
Q.Can you catch fish of the jetty?
A. Fish are regularliry caught from the tumby bay jetty. Tommies, squid, king George whiting, snook are the most common.
Q. Is there a fishing charter in Tumby Bay?
A. Yes Tumby Bay Fishing Charters have fishing trips to the Sir Joseph Banks Group of Islands. There is also many fishing charters in Port Lincoln, Arno Bay and Coffin Bay.
Q. Are you related to Tony Modra?
A. All Modra’s in Australia are related as we are decendents from the same Family who migrated to Australia. Tony is a very distant cousin.
Q. What do we need to bring?
A. All bed linen and bathroom linen is provided. We have well stocked cleaning products in each apartment. Just need to bring your fishing rod, sun screen and beach towels.
Q. Is the Beach a good swimming beach?
A. Tumby Bay is renown for safe calm waters. There is a safe sandbar within 50 metres of Modra’s Apartments.
Q. How far are you from Port Lincoln?
A. Just 50 kilometres, or 30 minutes by car from Port Lincoln to Tumby Bay
Q: What places are there to eat at Tumby Bay?
A: Tumby Bay has a great
waterfront cafe with fantastic views and internet lounge, 2 very good hotels, and a take-a-way, a bakery and an IGA for self catering supplies. Read the Tumby Bay Page for more information about Tumby Bay.
Q: What phone coverage is there is Tumby Bay?
A: Telstra Next G phones have full coverage in Tumby Bay and all the way from Adelaide to Tumby Bay. Optus and Vodafone may not receive coverage in the township of Tumby Bay. Signal will improve closer to Port Lincoln. Whyalla and Port August have full coverage from all networks.
